Growing up together in Columbia Tennessee, Cory and Andy watched as their town and the mid-state area thrived as one of the most popular places to live in the country. After high school, Cory decided to serve his country in the United States Coast Guard while Andy continued his education at The University of Tennessee in Knoxville.

After both of them returned home and were having a conversation during a Mule Day party. We talked about the good and the bad which led to us bouncing ideas that we each have had since moving back and so Southern Exposure was born.

In the summer of 2019 the historical building our store was located in flooded, causing complete damage. After the initial shock, we realized it was a blessing in disguise to make our store better than ever.  As we have since reopened in the fall of 2020 in the midst of a pandemic we strive to build our brand and to share our journey with as many as possible.

With our decision to open a business to offer great products for the lifestyle we promote we also saw an opportunity to give back to the community that made us who we are.  Since we have been open we have been fortunate enough to form partnerships with the local animal shelter, Center of Hope, and other nonprofit organizations. As we continue to provide great products and customer service, we will continue to give back with every opportunity we have.
